Elton John Before And After Photos

After a tabloid article stated that the rock hero was "frail" and included a photo of the rock icon being put into a wheelchair at Leipzig Airport in Germany, the singer took to Instagram on Friday, June 3, to reassure his fans that he is in "top health."

When the media took the photo, the 75-year-old musician was in Germany for two performances of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, sporting a Gucci tracksuit and mask.

Throughout his career, John demonstrated a supreme talent for assimilating and blending diverse pop and rock styles into a propulsive, streamlined, extroverted, energetic, and somewhat impersonal sound.

One of Elton's tours was impacted by his health. Just hours before taking the stage for a concert in New Zealand last year, he was compelled to end it early due to a diagnosis of walking pneumonia. In February of this year, he postponed two of his performances so that he could recuperate.

In a 1976 interview with Rolling Stone, John revealed that he was bisexual, and in a 1992 interview, he said that he was "very comfortable about being gay."
